Tony Scotto di Carlo SQL Migration
Tony Scotto di Carlo
Tony leads Dell’s SQL Server migration initiative, building their intellectual property, training teams around the world and leading DBA teams for large scale SQL Server migrations.Tony’s first job in IT job was back in the year 1991 where he built and sold computers for a small company that was literally patterned after the dorm room model for which Michael Dell is so famous. Due to market influences and shifts in his interests he moved from hardware to the software side of IT. Two years later he was immersed in database and business systems development and has been in this area of IT ever since.Through those 20 years or so Tony has worked as a consultant, started several vertical market software companies and had a short stint overseas implementing business intelligence, all focused around Microsoft technologies and SQL Server.   In a twist of fate 4 years ago, as Dell shifted business focus from hardware only to a mix with consulting and services, Tony found his career once again positively influenced by Dell and joined Dell’s Microsoft Collaboration division focused on SQL Server and business intelligence implementation.Follow Tony at:

Data Center Migrations – A focus on the ‘Data’
Inevitably in the SQL Server world we will find ourselves faced with the task of moving SQL Servers and databases from one location/platform to another.  On the surface this seems like it is a simple task, but there are some tricks to be had and some gotcha’s to avoid that can save you a lot of time, money and hassle.  This presentation will give you the leg up in being able to guide your organization safely through a SQL Server migration.
