Peter Shire – DB Best Technologies

Peter has been working with technology since 1989 when he joined Microsoft as their first field sales rep for Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey. For 11 years Peter built and managed the sales partner channel for SQL Sentry. He also has been the President of the Charlotte SQL Server Users Group for over nine years and was uniquely honored by PASS for special contributions to the 2013 PASS Summit. Peter joined DB Best Technologies as their Director of Data and Cloud Services. DB Best created the SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) and sold it to Microsoft in 2005. Since then they have been working with Microsoft to support and expand SSMA while also building a 250 person professional services firm around platform and cloud migrations, BI and DW, Virtualization and Consolidation, Performance Optimization and Remote Data Management Services. Peter is responsible for establishing, building and leading the Southeast US practice for DB Best.

Prabhaker Potharaju – Microsoft

Prabhaker has been with Microsoft for 17+ years with  a variety of responsibilities involving Business Intelligence, Database Development and Administration, and Application Development using Microsoft technologies. As a PFE, he helps customers with public and private cloud platforms, hybrid IT solutions, assists with performance tuning, as well as data implementation and maintenance of high availability, disaster recovery, and high performance OLTP systems.

Sandra Peele – CMI Solutions

Sandra is a SQL Developer at CMI Solutions, a Microsoft Partner specializing in software for convenience stores.  She has both  MSCE: Data Management and Analytics and Oracle 11g OCA certifications and has taught database courses at CPCC.  She is currently working toward the Microsoft Professional Program Certificate in Data Science.  

Ray Forbes – Dealer Wizard, LLC

Ray is the Technical Support Manager, Developer and Accidental DBA. He has been dabbling in writing software most his life, but really started about 5 years ago.  He has also been thrust into the DBA position and is learning all the time.
